Forget Time Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 20, 2026
What we collect
Jobs, shifts, breaks, notes, rates, and settings are stored locally in a database on your phone. We never see this data, and it is never transmitted anywhere.
The one exception: your trial start date
Forget Time offers a 30-day free trial starting from when you first open the app. To prevent that trial from silently resetting if you delete and reinstall the app, we store the trial start date in a small piece of platform storage tied to your device account:
- On iOS, this is Apple's iCloud key-value storage, associated with your Apple ID.
- On Android, this is included in Android's standard Auto Backup for apps, associated with your Google account.
This is a single timestamp. It is not a general backup of your app data, and it is not readable by us — it's controlled by Apple/Google's platform infrastructure the same way any app's basic settings backup would be.
No analytics, no advertising
We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party trackers. No ad networks, no analytics SDKs, no crash-reporting services that phone home. No data about your usage is collected or transmitted anywhere.
Purchases
Forget Time offers optional in-app purchases (monthly, annual, or a one-time lifetime purchase) after the free trial. All purchases are handled entirely by Apple's App Store or Google's Play Store. Forget Time never sees or stores your payment details (card numbers, billing address, etc.) — that information is handled exclusively by Apple/Google under their own privacy policies:
The app only learns whether a purchase was successful and which plan you purchased, so it can unlock the app — this is the same purchase-status information every app receives from StoreKit / Google Play Billing.
Notifications
Forget Time can send an optional local notification when you're about to exceed a per-job "overwork limit" you configure yourself. This notification is generated and delivered entirely on your device — it is not a push notification, and no server is involved. You can decline notification permission at any time without affecting the rest of the app.
Children's privacy
Forget Time is not directed at children and is not designed to collect any information from anyone, including children. Since the app collects no personal data beyond the device-local trial anchor described above, there is no children's data collected or retained.
Data retention and deletion
Because all of your data lives only on your device, deleting the app deletes your data. The one exception is the iCloud/Android-backup trial-start timestamp described above, which is removed when you delete the app's associated backup data via your Apple ID / Google account settings, or which you can ask us to help you clear by contacting us (see below).
Changes to this policy
